Why do some hockey players tape their wrists?
Question
I'm an amateur hockey player and I think that I've seen other players (both professionals and amateurs) with tape around their wrists. Why would they do that? Does it give them more power? I'm just looking for a brief answer. Thanks!

Answer
If you ever got into weight lifting or boxing, or hitting a heavy bag, you would tape your wrist for more support. It helps so your wrists don't bend back or jam. Same goes for taking shots, catching passes or throwing the dukes. Another good reason is key to a solid Wrist shot is wrist strength and the fact of having them "Locked" & tape limits unnecessary motion.
